Meditation is a practice that can help you cultivate awareness and compassion by learning to have a direct experience with the present moment. Rather than trying to empty the mind or stop thoughts, we bring our attention to those thoughts more clearly. Using various techniques, meditation draws our attention to the present moment, creating space for all aspects of the Self to show up and be, meeting any experience or sensation that arises with complete compassion.
Meditation teaches acceptance and helps you find your internal peace, especially during times of external chaos. It has been practised in cultures all over the world for thousands of years in nearly every religion however, many people practice it independently of any religious or spiritual beliefs or practices.

What to expect from a meditation class
Our meditation classes will allow you to unwind your mind and bring calm to your body. We offer a variety of meditations and each will provide you with new tools for dealing with stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.
Meditation is helpful for bringing our attention and awareness to our thoughts, doing our best not to attach to the story of them and bringing ourselves back to the present moment. This helps to soften our current emotional landscape as we take a moment to tune inwards and allow the body to feel without judgement, opinion or expectation. This is the art of compassion.
Some of our sessions may be seated, lying down or standing for our Qi Gong meditations.

Master Can
Teaching: Meditation
Master Can is a champion of martial arts throughout China and has devoted his whole life to the pursuit of martial arts and meditation.
Since 2013 he has taught students in Dubai, Holland, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, Kuwait, Azerbaijan and more. Many of his long-term international students desired to understand the deeper aspects and wisdom of the Zen Buddhist tradition. Thus, Master Can decided to leave his global journey and return to China to set up his own academy where students can learn both the physical martial arts as well as immerse themselves into the spiritual side of these ancient arts and Zen culture.

Meditation F.A.Q’s
Anytime is a great time to meditate. Meditating first thing in the morning is a wonderful way to start the day and can be an easy time to find a few undisturbed minutes. Meditating in the evening can be a great way to switch off from a busy day helping you find deeper rest and sleep for the night ahead.
You can wear anything you feel most comfortable in. Loose comfortable clothing is most recommended.
Controlled breathing is usually guided in our breathwork sessions. For more on breathwork please see here (insert link). However, during meditation, a natural rhythm without manipulation is most encouraged.
Our clinic is right next to a very large public car park. There is always parking available, with the clinic only a few steps from the car park, you will find our location very convenient.
